Jan 1, 2016 PSNWA unveiled a new website. The new site is first new website for the society in 12 years.
The former website had many customizations that made it an award winning website when it went live in 2003, said John Baltz, the PSNWA web coordinator. However 15 years of changes in the way websites operate meant the old site was not only aesthetically obsolete, but changes to PHP also meant much of the base code was simply nonfunctional. In the end it was easier to start fresh than to continue to maintain or even overhaul the old website. The new PSNWA website has been designed around modules purchased from reputable companies. Though this means that we may loose a customized featured here or there from the old website, the advantage is that these modules are continually maintained and upgraded by their source companies thus providing PSNWA with a more reliable and secure website for the future.
