6:00 am - 8:00 am
Join fellow PSNWA members observing some social distance photography and conversation on the Lake Fayetteville Dam (Just north of the Northwest Arkansas Mall) between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Sunrise is scheduled for 6:16 am with predawn Civil Twilight from 5:48 am to 6:16 am. Often if the sky is partly cloudy the pre-dawn sun will light up the clouds and make for some great reflections.
Lake Fayetteville was completed in 1949 and is comprised of 458 acres of land with 194 acres of water. The lakes east/west layout means that beautiful sunrise pictures can be taken from the earthen dam. A paved walking trail along the top of the dam joins a parking lot on the northern edge of the dam, and makes for quick and easy access to the prime photographic locations.
After sunrise you may wish to follow the lake trail for a stroll to the southeast for some additional lake side nature photography.
