The Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas will have special access to the main hospital of the former Arkansas Tuberculosis Sanatorium near Booneville. This building is part of a state-run facility, so access is limited, but we will have full access to th building from the top floor to the basement.
In addition to being long abandoned, the building is notorious for being one of the most haunted buildings in the state of Arkansas. This gives us a rare opportunity. Come for the abandoned photos during the day, then state for the night — if you dare! We’ll have a brief lesson on “paranormal photography” and ghost hunting tools, then we’ll be able to do a little ghost hunting/photography in the building at night!
MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. In addition to COVID protocols, this building has lots of mold, mildew and dust, so masks will be needed for safety, particularly on the upper floors and some areas of the basement. The State of Arkansas does require that every participant sign a waiver to participate.
So come for the day, or the night, or both! It will be a unique experience.
