A new and exciting alliance has been recently developed between Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area and the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas. According to Steve Chyrchel, Hobbs State Park interpreter, “The missions of the two organizations naturally mesh. We as a State Park will offer a meaningful variety of photographic opportunities to the PSNWA. The PSNWA with their noted collection of professional photographers will offer free instructional photography programs to the public at large at Hobbs State Park. It’s a win-win partnership.”
A program on nature photography will be held at the Park on the morning of Saturday October 17, 2015. The program is free, open to the public, and anyone of any photography skill level is encouraged to attend. Professionals from PSNWA will explain the different photography-learning opportunities open and free to the public through the new Hobbs State Park – Photographic Society of NW Arkansas partnership. As described by Sean Doyle, Chairman of PSNWA, “This partnership will include many things including classes, lectures, and photo walks within the Hobbs.” Five photo walks, and four classroom programs have already been scheduled.
