3-Day Youth Photography Camp: June 27 through June 29 (Tues – Thur) at Hobbs State Park with Bob Coleman

This course is for the teen-aged youth, (ages 14-17), who is just beginning to develop his/her interests and experiences in digital photography. Together, we will hike and learn camera basics with many hands-on activities in a classroom environment.

Typically, the first day of camp includes getting to know one another and learning about the outdoors as well as the camera equipment.  We will spend most of our time learning camera basics and hear from our Hobbs State Park officials on areas of interest in and around the park. On the second day, we will look deeper into photocomposition and explore Hobbs State Park with a walk around the area focusing on the many flowers and insects so please wear comfortable shoes. On the third and final day, our Hobbs State Park tour guide will take us to a local trail to photograph water and other notable areas of interest. If time permits, we will discuss photo-processing and create a photo journal to showcase your best work.  Of course, all of this is weather dependent, so do your sunshine dance for three fun-filled days!

We will begin each day at 9 a.m. in the Hobbs Visitor Center. Please come in and sign your child in every morning, as well as sign out each day at 12 p.m.

Please register online .  You will be contacted to complete the registration form and a medical form which can be turned in to Hobbs State Park before the first day of camp to secure your spot.  For convenience these forms can be emailed to info@psnwa.org in care of Cynthia Cooper.  We will accept them on the first day of class if necessary.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your instructor, Bob Coleman, bobcoleman@photo.com  or  info@psnwa.org.
