Register to join us at Beaver Lake for an eagle watching cruise on the Hobbs State Park pontoon boat. This limited seating boat tour will allow you a unique perspective to photograph eagles and other wildlife in and around Beaver lake.<!more>
More eagles are calling Beaver Lake home for the winter each year, why not come out and try your hand at photographing one of these magnificent birds of prey. This time of year, the resident eagles are busy rebuilding nests and possibly already sitting on eggs. Migrant birds are feeding in preparation for the journey north once the winter weather breaks.
Given the time of the year, it is recommended to dress warmly as once we are out on the open water in a moving boat, it can get very chilly. While any photographic gear can be used, if you have a longer lens, this would be the time to dust it off and put it to work. Monopods to assist with stabilization will be allowed on the boat.
This event is limited to 15 total participants, so registration is required. $15 per person for members, $20 for non-members.
