“Get your kicks on Route 66…”

Take a tour of the iconic highway and its unique and colorful roadside attractions, and learn from one of the best photographers around in this very special two-day event!

Included in this workshop/tour is guiding and instruction by Greg Disch. Greg will be available throughout the workshop to assist you to get the best photos, whether by learning a new technique or just working on improving composition.

Also included is one nights lodging based on double occupancy. Travel will be by carpooling. A custom guidebook written by Greg, of the locations and route during the trip, which will include historical information about what we are photographing will be given to each participant before departing.

REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 12 PARTICIPANTS.

This is an adventure to not only guide you to the best photo locations and opportunities, but also to teach you to shoot better images by learning to visualize before taking the shot and think more about the image than the camera settings.

We will eat in classic Route 66 restaurants when possible to get the full Route 66 experience

All that remains of the Ghost Town of Specer Missouri on Route 66, is a row of rock buildings that have been restored. At one time there was a grocery store, gas station, dry goods store, and a barbershop.

The Gay Parita Station is a reproduction of an early-twentieth-century Sinclair gasoline station. The original Gay Parita station had been established back in the 1930s by a couple named Fred and Gay Mason, and the original native-stone garage from that early era still stands on the property. The station was built on the orignail property by Gary Turner in 2004, Gary passed away in 2015. Gary’s daughter Barbera Turner is now operating the station.

The Munger Moss Motel is a vintage auto court that harks back to the hey-day of Route 66! It is Route 66 lodging at its finest. It has been the “home away from home” for generations of travelers on old Route 66, and is still serving the modern highway traveler with all the amenities one would expect from a first class lodging establishment. Clean, modern rooms await you at the Munger Moss Motel. Yet the Munger Moss has all the charm of yesteryear—those days before the interstates cut off small-town America and the unique “mom and pop” businesses that lined America’s two-lane highways.

Bob’s Gasoline Alley is an outdoor and indoor collection fo over 300 service station signs and memorabilla.
