March General Meeting featuring Charles Peek

The March General Meeting will feature photographer and storm chaser Charles Peek.

Charles Peek travels across the country chasing all types of inclement weather. While severe storms that contain tornadoes are his primary target, he also chases lightning, flooding, winter storms and any form of weather that may impact the lives of people. In 2016 he traveled over 30,000 total miles in this endeavor.

While photography is his love and passion, much of his work that is used by national media is video based to include live streaming. He is regularly featured on The Weather Channel on both TV and digital platforms. His work has also been broadcast nationally on most major networks to include ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, as well as programs such as Good Morning America. Peek is also part of the local NBC and FOX affiliate station, KNWA/FOX24’s, storm chase team, supporting his local community where his work is often seen during severe weather events. Charles’ program will include a 45 minute photography and video presentation of some of his storm chasing adventures as well as a 30 minute block for Q&A and general discussion. During this time he will include tips learned through his experiences and how to overcome the challenges that photographing severe weather presents.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 7 at AQ Chicken House, 1207 N. Thompson St. in Springdale at 7 p.m.
