Macro Photography Class

One of the most interesting genres of photography is macro. Close up and macro photography is about seeing the world we pass everyday in a new way. Capturing the beauty, texture, and microscapes of nature doesn’t have to be expensive. During this class we will explore the equipment and techniques to take photographs from small objects such as flowers to the near microscopic such as grains of sand.

[image_frame style=”framed” title = “Tiny Mushrooms” align=”right” width=”300″ height=”200″][/image_frame]The smaller the area you wish to photograph the more you will need to acquaint yourself with the basics of macro photography and the use of equipment from macro lenses to specialty equipment such as extension tubes, diopter filters, bellows, and even pinhole adapters. We will discuss exposure, camera stability, depth of field, and proper shutter release to ensure the best possible picture of the tiny world around us.
