Learn to create beautiful cyanotype prints with deep blues and white tones.
Probably best known as the process to create architectural blueprints, Cyanotype has gained recent popularity thanks to both to its unique artistic look and minimal equipment requirements. One of the oldest photographic printing process, Cyanotype uses an ultraviolet light source such as sunlight to create contact prints. Participants of this workshop will learn to use botanical specimens, lace, cut paper, and even inkjet printed plastic negatives to create one of a kind photograms on paper made light sensitive using an iron salt mixture.
You will need to contact the instructor Susie Burleson (maynerd77@gmail.com) before the class to get your negative printed and ready for class.
