Adobe Photoshop and Crystal Bridges “Open Road Photography Tour” with Sonia Davis Gutierrez (canceled event)

Photographers face many unique challenges in their profession. In addition to calming uncooperative ring bearers and producing photos beautiful enough to please the most demanding bridezilla, you also have to be skilled in the art of editing using Photoshop.  Today’s class will leave you with an understanding of how the tool can help you enhance your photographs and hopefully leave you with a desire to learn more.

Prerequisites:   Bring photography material to get Adobe Photoshop individualized instruction

Bring your own computer with Adobe Photoshop loaded

Bring your camera in the event you want to take pictures that day for instruction

 

About the Instructor, Sonia Davis Gutierrez

Sonia Davis Gutiérrez completed a BS in microbiology in 1996, and BA in graphic design in 1998, from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. While an undergraduate, she studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain and attended the Universidad de Salamanca to study art history and graphic design with a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. In 2002, she completed an MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design in New York, New York. In 2003, she returned to Fayetteville and founded New Design School by 2006, and 3c21 Design in 2007. In May 2009, she was invited by Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan to lead the Creative Economy Action Group. Today, she practices and teaches graphic design, web design, and design business in her role as principal of Atelier NDS and founder and president of New Design School.

New Design School offers adult education through certificate-granting seminars that build toward a career in graphic design. The school is licensed and regulated through the Arkansas State Board of Private Career Education and has successfully renewed its license annually since its founding.
