Watson Lake is one of two reservoirs at the Granite Dells, in Prescott, Arizona, that was formed in the early 1900s when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a dam on Granite Creek. The Granite Dells is a geological feature north of Prescott, Arizona. The Dells consist of exposed bedrock and large boulders of granite that have eroded into an unusual lumpy, rippled appearance.

Learn to improve you landscape photos during this class with Greg Disch.

Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. As with most forms of art, the definition of a landscape photograph is broad, and may include urban settings, industrial areas, and nature photography.
Here is some info for the landscape class, I will get the others in the next day or so.

There are many techniques used to capture a great landscape photo, during this class we will learn the secrets of the pros.

· Learn to get the best possible focus using techniques of “hyperfocal distance” and live view focusing.
· Learn how to get the most out of the sky in your photos.
· Learn to create sun starbursts in your photos.
· Learn to research a location.
· Learn to use composition to create a stronger image.
· Learn to create panoramas.
· Learn to create natural HDR images.
· Learn to plan a successful photo shoot.
· Learn to photograph the night sky.

Class will run from 9 am to about 5 pm with a break for lunch.

Cost of $75 per person.

My program will include a lecture and hands on demonstrations along with some great advice and tips, even if you are a seasoned professional. I will follow up with a slideshow presentation and a Q&A session.

A tripod is one of the accessories that many photographers try to go cheap thinking they don’t really need one. With the high ISO and and improved noise reduction in modern cameras and software we can shoot many images without a tripod that we could not a few years ago. I am a firm believer in not using a tripod, unless I need a tripod. There are many times that I do need a tripod, and many of my images could not be made without one. When I need a tripod I need a good one, if it will not hold my camera rock solid, it is of no use.

In this program I will show you how to use your tripod for the best results and how to choose the best tripod for you and your style of photography.
