Learn the basics of digital photography
This workshop is designed for those new to digital photography who really wish to learn to use their digital camera to its fullest potential. The class will cover very basic information up to some advanced techniques. We will cover how to get out of automatic, and into creative photography. You will learn many creative photography techniques, correct exposure and good composition. We will cover how to transfer you images to the computer and basic digital workflow.

Are you new to Capture One or want to gain a better understanding of how to work with Capture One? This Live Online Workshop will help you learn everything from creating your 1st catalog and importing your images through exporting your final images! This is a Live Online Virtual Class. You will be able to interact and ask questions in real time. It will also be recorded and you will be provided with the recording to go back and review anytime you would like.

Train boards at the Springdale Arkansas & Missouri Railroad station at 8:30 a.m. It is recommended that guests try to be there near 8:00 a.m.
The train will wind through the beautiful Boston Mountains on its way to Van Buren. Along the way we will make special stops to disembark the train at key locations to photograph the scenery, the train, and even a couple of fashion models if you like. The layover stop is picturesque downtown Van Buren, movie location of the Blue and the Grey.

Photography Seminar and Class
The Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas (PSNWA), in collaboration with Hobbs State
Park-Conservation Area, will offer a seminar on nature/landscape photography during travel.
From local macro images to sweeping landscapes in Europe, photographer Melissa L. Jones
will take you on a journey of nature photography throughout the world. Melissa’s work has been
seen in past exhibits in downtown Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville.
Following the seminar a professional from the Photographic Society of NW Arkansas will be
offering a class on the basics of capturing nature with a camera. Learn about the fundamentals
of proper exposure, tips and techniques for capturing different subjects. The last part of the
class will be spent outside practicing and answering questions.
What to Bring if you can:
– Camera
– Tripod (optional)
– Remote release (optional)
