Ashley’s love for photography began with a month long trip to Europe, where she was able to look at architecture as art. She then trained under a well-known Street Photographer in New York City, James Maher and world renowned portrait photographer, Dani Diamond of NYC. Soon, after that, Ashley began capturing people from a documentary style point-of-view and moved on to fashion.

Ashley taught in the classroom for 13 years before deciding to make a career transition into full-time photography and loves how she can still interact with people on a daily basis. She is the creator of Destination Session, which is an application based program for all people, ages 14 and up. It consists of a different location each time (so far they’ve been to NYC 4 times, Los Angeles, CA and Paris, France) and 4 styled shoots with hair/makeup/clothing and plenty of adventure!

Landscape Photography with William Rainey

Landscape Photography – preplanning for a future shoot or an inspiration of an idea, as well as going through my equipment. Myself, I always have many different directions to go to make the most of my time, and to make the most of great light and a dramatic scene. Since nature is unpredictable, I will share what I do when things don’t go as planned.

Personal Projects are created from a burning desire to photograph with a message in mind.

The subject of your message could be on identity, diversity, atrocity, or even a pandemic. But how do you get started? How do you gain access to photograph the subjects that inspire you? And what about process? If starting can be hard, how do you know when you are done?
