MARCH 17, 2020
The Board of Directors of the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas strives to provide benefits to members including the distinguished photographer series, classes, and events. As our region’s leading community of photographers, our primary concern during this unprecedented time is to ensure the health and safety of our members. Because of this, PSNWA is announcing several changes to the schedule in light of the current health risks associated with the COVID-19 virus.
The Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas is postponing in-person classes and events, but will continue to provide services for members by scheduling online meetings and webinars.
Leaders across the globe, in our state, and in our towns are doing everything they can to mitigate the impact of the virus. The PSNWA Board of Directors is working hard to do the same. Based, in part, on directives made by the Center for Disease Control & Prevention, PSNWA will continue this schedule through March and April, perhaps longer if necessary.
Please respect that we all have different levels of risk, and some individuals may face greater health risks than others when exposed to COVID-19. While there are currently no known cases in Northwest Arkansas, these actions are being taken to ensure we are able to maintain the continuity of education and services for our members while protecting our community.
Please watch your email and social media for announcements about future online events and classes. While face-to-face events will not be held, the PSNWA Board of Directors is working on other member benefits. We will announce more on this as soon as we can.
Exhibit competitions that traditionally have required submitting printed images will be reassigned to online competitions. Many of the events and speakers scheduled for March and April will be rescheduled when appropriate. Please email info@psnwa.org or complete the online contact form at www.psnwa.org/ns/contact/ if you have any questions or concerns.
We encourage everyone to stay safe in this difficult time. We thank you all for your patience and your support, and look forward to returning to a normal schedule as soon as we safely can for all members.
