Nature Photography at Hobbs State Park

I’ve been interested in photography ever since I was a young Soldier stationed in Germany in 1978. After retiring from a 34-year career in the military, I decided to move back to my hometown, Fayetteville, AR and decided to pursue my interest in photography and make it more than just a hobby.
My interests in photography include Wildlife, Landscape, Weather, & Architecture/Historical Buildings but I like to experiment in all other areas and have learned from some great photographers.
Although I’m still new at this, I’ve been the featured photographer in Our Ozarks magazine and published in Nature Photographer magazine. There’s something about wildlife in its natural habitat that is very interesting to me as well as capturing that particular moment during a sunset when the colors and beauty are only available for about 5 minutes, those are the photographs that fuel my passion. – Just Take The Shot!!

Basic Nature Photography Class:
A professional from the Photographic Society of NW Arkansas will lecture on the basics of how
to capture nature with a camera. Learn about the fundamentals of proper exposure, tips and
techniques for capturing different subjects. The last part of the class will be spent outside
practicing and answering questions.
What to Bring if you can:

– Tripod (optional)
– Remote release (optional)
