PSNWA Breakfast Club – Join fellow PSNWA members for photography and conversation on the Lake Fayetteville Dam (Just north of the Northwest Arkansas Mall) between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Followed by breakfast at Black Bear Diner (Just up the hill and across from the Northwest Arkansas Mall.)
Sunrise is scheduled for 6:21 am with Dawn starting around 5:53 am. Often if the sky is partly cloudy the pre-dawn sun will light up the clouds and make for some great reflections. We will reschedule if there is rain.
We will leave for breakfast and conversation shortly after 7:00 am.
Lake Fayetteville was completed in 1949 and is comprised of 458 acres of land with 194 acres of water. The lake’s east/west layout means that beautiful sunrise pictures can be taken from the earthen dam. A paved walking trail along the top of the dam joins a parking lot on the northern edge of the dam and makes for quick and easy access to the prime photographic locations.

John is a seasoned professional photographer with over 30 years experience. His first interest in photography began with collecting cameras as a child. While in college, he worked for the region’s top PPA photographers, advancing to managing photography studios and labs, before starting his own freelance photography business. John has a strong knowledge of both digital and traditional analog photography.
