Boxley Valley Early Morning Elk

Come join use for an early morning photography shoot in Boxley Valley!

We will plan to arrive and meet at 6:30am at the Ponca Low Water Bridge Parking area.  We will then proceed from there to where the elk are at.  Hopefully they are still in rut during this time and we will be able to not only get good photographs but hear them bugle.   The rises at 7:26 am this morning.

You will want to bring a tripod and the longest prime/telephoto lens you have as many times the elk will be in the back of the fields especially as they first come out.  Depending on the morning will depend on how long they stay out/or until the sun comes up over the mountain and makes photographing hard.

Remember there is no cell service in the Valley.  If you are arriving later, watch for the vehicles along the sides of the road, as typically there are several where the elk are spotted even early in the morning.
