PSNWA is teaching a class on “How to Photograph the Night Skies” at Hobbs State Park Conservation Center on the evening of February 6th, beginning at 5:30PM.
The PSNWA event is organized in conjunction with the Sugar Creek Astronomical Society who will also be presenting “Navigating Tonight’s Sky” and providing telescopes for astronomical viewing.

[/image_frame]Dusk is at 6:14 pm that evening and Twilight ends about 7:10 pm, at which time we shall proceed outside to take night photographs. To be successful you should know the manual settings of your camera, bring a tripod and a remote or cable release is recommended. A small flashlight with red/amber gel will assist in camera setting adjustment and relieve eye strain.
This program is recommended everyone from young adults, age 17 and up. The Conservation Center is ADA Compliant and the outdoor viewing will be from the adjacent parking lot.
PSNWA and Hobbs State Park formed a partnership in 2015 to bring photographic education to the park grounds, and “How to Photograph the Night Skies”, is one of several events created to combine classroom education with practical, photographic experience.
